Quality
Nothing is more important then quality when it comes to garnet. Here at PMP we regularly do sieve tests throughout the day to ensure proper mesh size distribution. This ensures that there are no oversize particles or fines. Consistency and performance is key. Waterjet machines are sensitive to clogging nozzles. Any over sized grain will clog a nozzle and too many fines can also create a clog, but also hinder performance. Abrasive blasting needs consistent sizing to ensure a proper profile is met while also having low dust content to increase operators visibility and also safety.
Recycling Program
Here at PMP we are very proud of our garnet reprocessing capabilities. A major issue in the waterjet and abrasive blast industries is disposal of garnet. Traditionally garnet has gone to landfills. Not only is this becoming more and more costly over the years, it is not the most environmentally responsible option.
